Revolution Mill Schedules Springtime Events to Celebrate Social District Expansion - Thursday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Revolution Mill is officially expanding its social footprint at  The Stacks, which debuted here last in October 2025, and is the newest addition to Greensboro’s growing network of Social Districts. To celebrate this cultural milestone, the historic 45-acre campus will host a series of grand opening events on Thursday, April 30, and Tuesday, May 5, inviting the community to experience a new era of pedestrian-friendly dining and social connection.


UPCOMING COMMUNITY CELEBRATIONS

Sip & Stroll: Springing into the District

Thursday, April 30 | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM  

Explore the newly expanded Social District at the Docks and Stacks! Grab a drink, wander the historic campus, and discover the best of the Mill.

  • The Family Fun: Explore the Artisan Vendor Market or enjoy Revolution Mill sponsored Giant Jenga, hula hoops, and interactive games.

  • The Music: Starting at 5 PM enjoy all-ages live performances by Cody Bennett + Roger Gupton (The Strum & Drang duo) playing favorites from The Beatles and Paul Simon.

  • The Tastings: Join us for dinner! Adults can sip craft favorites from Incendiary Brewing, Kau, Solo Taco or Grapes & Grains, while the whole family enjoys refreshments from Greenlove Coffee or healthy smoothies from Peace of Her by Lou.

  • The Rewards: Spin the prize wheel for a chance to win Greensboro Grasshoppers tickets, merchandise and more!

  • Pro Tip: Ride  the fare-free Hopper Trolley, running 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Help us officially welcome Solo Taco NC to the Mill! We’re throwing a fiesta featuring the smooth sounds of Camel City Yacht Club.

  • The Piñatas: Join the fun with a kids' piñata at 6:00 PM and an adult piñata—loaded with gift cards and surprises—at 6:30 PM!

  • The Flavors: Be among the first to experience Solo Taco NC, the newest venture from the acclaimed team behind Cugino Forno. Enjoy authentic Mexico City-style tacos featuring meats carved straight from the trompo onto house-made tortillas. For those craving variety, grab a hefty salad, signature wood-fired pizza or creamy gelato.

  • The Buzz: Participating Social District venues will offer designated to-go cups so you can enjoy your drink while you dine and stroll.

  • The Music: Be ready for photo ops as we dance and sing to favorites by Daryl Hall & John Oates, Toto, Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers performed by Camel City Yacht Club.

  • Incendiary Brewing: Pours handcrafted seasonal brews at a stunning artisan bar.

  • Grapes & Grains: Features a stylish speakeasy vibe with a piano bar, VIP lounges, and nightly live entertainment ranging from open mic night to  jazz to salsa.

  • Kau: Serves upscale, relaxed cuisine with creekside seating and a specialized deli and butcher market for premium cuts.

  • Peace of Her by Lou: Blends healthy smoothies and juices alongside fresh salads and paninis and local artisan wares.

  • Solo Taco NC: From the owners of Cugino Forno, this $1.4 M expansion, 5,800 square foot space delivers the authentic soul of Mexico City. The menu features five signature tacos on scratch-made tortillas, alongside wood-fired pizzas and artisanal gelato. Designed for community, the space features communal seating perfect for families and social district strollers. This combination of pizza and tacos is a pilot model for Cugino Forno, which has locations in North Carolina in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Clemmons, Durham and Wilmington as well as Frederick Maryland and expanding into Greenville, SC.

Complimentary public parking is available. Enter the campus via Textile Drive off Yanceyville Street and follow the footbridges directly across to the Docks and Stacks. For GPS, use 2005 Revolution Mill Drive.

Solo Taco

Opening soon - Follow on Instagram for updates on the soft opening! The name implies that there’s just tacos. But Solo Taco blends the flavors of Mexico City, with a dash of Italy. The team behind Cugino Forno offers a small Mexican menu of fresh, simple ingredients that can be served in a burrito, taco, quesadilla or bowl.  

Feeling like a slice instead? No worries. A Solo Taco pizza oven will turn out your faves from Cugino Forno so that you don’t have to choose between tacos or pizza in the social district. You can even finish it off with creamy gelato. Buen provecho!  


Social District Spring Fling.

April 30 • 5-7 pm. Official season opening with live music, fun for all and specials from Grapes & Grains Speakeasy tavern, Incendiary Brewing, KAU, Peace of Her by Lou, Solo Taco. Shop a selection of artisan vendors and be sure to bring the whole family — dogs welcome!

Cost: Fare free!

Hours of Operation:

  • Wednesdays - 8 am to 12 noon 

  • Thursdays thru Saturdays – 12 noon to 12 midnight

  • Sundays –12 noon to 10 pm

Frequency: Every 12-15 minutes during service hours

Route and Stops:
Approximately every block along Elm Street between Northwood Avenue and Carolyn Coleman Way with additional stops at Moses Cone Hospital campus, State Street, and Revolution Mill. On Wednesdays, additional stops at the J. Douglas Galyon Depot, NC A&T and the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market. Please note, the Hopper only stops at signed stops. See the brochure here.
